The STREAMLINE was conceived to improve and extend the Apache Flink platform to handle both batch and streaming data in a uniform way. The best way to achieve impact with our research is to reach out to the Apache Flink community and support its growth. Therefore, STREAMLINE has selected Flink Forward as its vehicle for dissemination and outreach. As the community around Apache Flink has grown exponentially, this has proved to be a good decision for the project. We have been able to reach over 2000 people directly and many more that have watched the presentations afterwards.  One of the main goals for the STREAMLINE project has been to increase the competence and supply of data scientist in Europe. The increasingly large number of people attending the FlinkForward conferences is a testament to the success in reaching this goal.
